Beyond The Trends Personal Styling – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by Chunky Shoes UK Ltd, trading as Beyond The Trends Personal Styling (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Stylist” or “Michelle”) to you, the client (“you”).

By booking, purchasing or using any of our services, or by accessing our website www.beyondthetrends.com (“Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Our Services

We provide the following services (“Services”):

  • In-Person Services: personal styling, wardrobe edits and shopping appointments

  • Personalised Downloadable Analysis Services: seasonal colour analysis and body shape analysis

  • Online Services: virtual consultations, Stylist SOS Helpline and messaging services

Any additional services agreed between us will also be subject to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Responsibility

These Terms apply to you as the person making the booking. You are responsible for ensuring that any person attending an appointment with you, or for whom you make a booking (“Authorised Person”), complies with these Terms and behaves appropriately during the provision of the Services.

3. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on the Website. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Services.

4. Registration and Account Use

To book or purchase Services, you must provide accurate and complete personal details, including your name, address, email address and valid payment information.

You must:

  • provide a valid and up-to-date email address;

  • ensure all information provided is accurate; and

  • notify us promptly of any changes.

We are not responsible for missed communications caused by incorrect or outdated contact details.

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Photography

You may take photographs during sessions for personal reference. We may also take photographs during sessions.

Unless you notify us in writing prior to your appointment, you consent to the use of such photographs for promotional and marketing purposes. Copies may be provided upon request.

6. Messaging & Helpline Services

Any-Time Messaging

  • Includes up to 60 minutes of stylist time per month

  • Time does not roll over

  • Responses provided within 48 hours

  • For styling-related purposes only

We may terminate this service immediately if communications are abusive, inappropriate or unlawful. Serious misconduct may be reported to relevant UK authorities where required by law.

Stylist SOS Helpline

  • Conducted via Google Meet

  • Bookable at least 48 hours in advance

  • Available Monday–Saturday, 9am–6pm (subject to availability)

  • For styling-related purposes only

Third-party platform terms and privacy policies apply.

7. Discovery Calls

Discovery Calls are mandatory for first-time In-Person or Package Service clients and:

  • last up to 45 minutes;

  • are currently offered free of charge.

Clients may reschedule or cancel their discovery call by providing a minimum of 12 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled appointment time.

Late arrival or non-attendance may result in loss of eligibility for future complimentary calls.

8. Third-Party Stores & Shopping

Any purchases made during or following our Services are contracts solely between you and the retailer. We are not responsible for the quality, condition, pricing, delivery or returns of third-party goods.

9. Bookings and Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking for Online Downloadable Analysis Services

  • A 50% deposit is required at booking for all other Services

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before your first appointment

Once payment is received and your booking is confirmed, a binding contract is formed.

If we are unable to provide the Services and performance has not commenced, any amounts paid will be refunded in full.

No refunds are provided for appointments shortened at your request.

10. Cancellations and Rescheduling

General – Statutory Rights

Where Services are booked at a distance (online, email or telephone), you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund, provided the Services have not commenced.

Where cancellation occurs after the 14-day period, any refund for Services not yet provided will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account:

  • the nature of the Services booked;

  • the notice given;

  • any work already carried out; and

  • any reasonable administrative or preparation costs incurred.

Refunds will be issued where required by applicable law.

In-Person & Package Services

  • Wardrobe edits: within 25 miles of Northampton (UK) March–October, 11am–5pm

  • Shopping services: Milton Keynes, Central London, or Central Birmingham

Failure to attend an appointment will result in the full service fee being retained.

Where part of a package, a fee of £145 plus travel costs (up to £45) will apply.

  • Cancellation with less than 14 days’ notice: no refund

  • Cancellation with more than 7 days’ notice: refund less £45 administration fee

  • One reschedule permitted free of charge with 14+ days’ notice

  • Any further reschedules charged £45

Late arrival does not extend appointment time.

Personalised Downloadable Analysis Services

  • No refunds once photographs are submitted

  • Photographs must be submitted within 6 months of purchase to analysis@beyondthetrends.com

  • Full refund available within 14 days of purchase, provided no photographs have been submitted

Online Services (Not Part of a Package)

  • Stylist SOS Helpline: cancellations within 24 hours incur a 50% cancellation fee

  • 60 min Style Power Hour: cancellations within 48 hours incur a 50% cancellation fee

“Working days” exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.

11. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers:

  • are valid for 12 months from issue;

  • are non-refundable; and

  • may be redeemed against Services only.

12. Complaints and Feedback

Please contact: contact@beyondthetrends.com as soon as possible if you have a complaint. We aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly.

13. Your Obligations

You agree to:

  • not resell, reproduce or distribute our content (including free digital downloads);

  • act respectfully and lawfully;

  • complete questionnaires accurately;

  • use the Website in accordance with these Terms.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, and/or terminate this Contract with immediate effect, where:

a) you are in material breach of these Terms;
b) we reasonably believe that you are insolvent or likely to become insolvent; or
c) your conduct is abusive, threatening, inappropriate, or otherwise makes it unreasonable for us to continue providing the Services.

Where termination occurs, any outstanding bookings may be cancelled.

Any refund for Services not yet provided will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the Services booked, notice given, work already carried out, and any reasonable administrative or preparation costs incurred. Refunds will be issued where required by applicable law.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations accrued prior to termination.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where unlawful to do so, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

Our liability is limited to foreseeable losses and capped at the price paid for the relevant Services. We are not liable for:

  • business or commercial losses;

  • third-party goods or services;

  • outcomes dependent on client participation.

16. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay in performance (excluding payment obligations) caused by events beyond reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”), including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, service outages, or failure of third-party suppliers due to such events.

The affected party shall notify the other as soon as reasonably practicable and take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact.

Where a Force Majeure Event prevents the provision of Services, the affected Services will be rescheduled where reasonably practicable, or, where this is not possible, cancelled and any fees paid for Services not yet provided will be refunded.

If the Force Majeure Event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate this Contract by written notice. Any prepaid fees for unperformed Services will be refunded.

17. Use of Third-Party Digital Wardrobe Application (Hue & Stripe)

Where part of the Services includes access to, use of, or recommendations relating to the third-party digital wardrobe application Hue & Stripe (“Third-Party App”), the following terms apply.

Access to the Third-Party App is provided for convenience and styling support only. The Third-Party App is owned, operated and maintained by an independent third party, and your use of it is subject to that provider’s own terms of use, privacy policy and technical requirements, over which we have no control.

We do not warrant or guarantee the availability, functionality, performance, security or accuracy of the Third-Party App, and we are not responsible for any interruption, error, loss of data or technical issue arising from its use.

Any personal data you choose to input into the Third-Party App will be processed in accordance with the Third-Party App provider’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the handling, storage or security of data processed by the Third-Party App.

Where access to the Third-Party App is included as part of the Services, this does not form a standalone service and may be withdrawn, substituted or modified where reasonably necessary, including where the Third-Party App becomes unavailable or its terms change. Where such a change materially affects the Services, you will be notified and your statutory rights will not be affected.

Nothing in this clause limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including in respect of any Services provided directly by us.

18. General

  • Results are not guaranteed

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement

  • No third-party rights apply

  • English law governs these Terms

  • The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction
