Your wardrobe should leave you feeling inspired... not Frustrated

This is something many women struggle with

I’ve been there myself.

12 years ago, I felt the Exact same Way

Fun Fact:

Did you know the average UK woman owns between 95 and 118 pieces of clothing?

She spends an average of £459 a month on fashion. that’s a whopping £5,508 a year, yet only 10% to 20% of those items are worn regularly.

Most women fall into the "80/20 rule," reaching for the same 5 to 12 favourite pieces on repeat while the rest sit unworn in our wardrobes.

If you're ready to stop spending way too long getting dressed, yet still end up leaving the house feeling like you got dressed in the dark, you’re in the right place

If getting dressed feels harder than it should, it probably isn't about the clothes.

When life feels overwhelming, your wardrobe can quietly become another source of stress.

You stand in front of a wardrobe full of clothes, but nothing feels right.

You change outfits three times.

You're running late.

You settle for the same "safe" outfit again, hoping no one notices how exhausted, overwhelmed or unlike yourself you really feel.

I've been there.

That's why Beyond the Trends isn't about chasing fashion or following trends. Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely love fashion trends, but it's about creating a wardrobe that works for your life, your body and the woman you are today, so getting dressed becomes calm instead of chaotic, effortless instead of overwhelming, and one less thing to worry about before you walk out of the door.

Because when your wardrobe works, you stop thinking about your clothes... and it gives you back a bit of mental freedom, so you can start focusing on living your life.

When I went back to work after having my first and only child, not only was getting dressed in the mornings stressful because I was juggling a 101 things in the hope of getting out the door on time, but I was very anxious about what people would think if I turned up at the office looking a mess. I didn’t want to turn up, looking how I was feeling inside - overwhelmed, running on empty and no idea of who I really was any more. Plus to make it harder, nothing in my wardrobe fitted. Some people may not understand this, but I was really worried people would judge me as a new mum based on how I showed up. It was how I felt at the time and it used to get to me every single day. This is where my style story began over 12 years ago.

Your wardrobe isn't broken. There is nothing wrong with you. My guess it that it’s overwhelming and not working because it’s simply no longer supporting you and you’re just dressing a version of you that no longer exists.

What would it feel like to open your wardrobe tomorrow morning, breathe, and feel calm?

When your wardrobe aligns with who you are today, how you actually live now, and importantly, how you want to feel, getting dressed becomes effortless, stylish, stress-free, and enjoyable again. You feel put together and yourself, without overthinking it. Your wardrobe works for you.

I don’t give you a “new style.” Together, we make sense of what you love, what works, and what no longer fits, so your style feels clear, cohesive, and effortless again.

No complex, rigid rules.
No pressure to dress like someone you’re not.

Just a thoughtful, guided process that makes getting dressed feel easy, brings you back to yourself, with relief, certainty, and clarity than before.

Imagine if getting dressed felt like this...

✔ You trust your choices again.

✔ Getting dressed feels simple, not stressful.

✔ Your wardrobe feels calm, not chaotic.

✔ You stop wasting money on clothes that never quite work.

✔ You stop second-guessing yourself every time you leave the house.

✔ You stop worrying whether people can see how overwhelmed you feel.

✔ You leave the house feeling calm, prepared and looking your best.

And more than anything…

✔ Getting dressed becomes one less thing to think about.

If the below sounds familiar, you're in the right place...

• You have a wardrobe full of clothes, but every morning still feels like a battle.

• You stand in front of your wardrobe wondering why nothing feels quite right anymore.

• You wear the same "safe" outfits because they're easy, even though they don't really feel like you.

• Your body, lifestyle or priorities have changed, whether you've had a baby, changed careers, reached a new stage of life or simply lost your way and your wardrobe hasn't caught up.

• You're tired of wasting time, money and mental energy on clothes that don't work together.

• You don't want to become someone else; you just want to look and feel your best.

This isn't about following trends or creating a picture-perfect wardrobe.

It's about removing the stress, the guesswork and one more source of frustration from your day, so getting dressed becomes effortless instead of overwhelming.

Not overdone.

Not uncomfortable.

Not trying too hard.

Just... you.

My approach is different;

There are plenty of stylists who can tell you what to wear. My mission is to help you understand why it works, so you leave with the knowledge, tools and confidence to make great style decisions long after we've worked together.

If we're the right fit, I'll show you how we can create a wardrobe that works beautifully for your life. so getting dressed becomes one of the easiest parts of your day.

No pressure. Just a real, open, and honest conversation.

Did you know?

What we wear has the power to shape how we feel, think and show up in the world. Clothes are more than fabric and fit, they’re a reflection of who we are and how we want to be seen. When you dress with intention, you don’t just change your outfit, you change your energy

Style is a very powerful form of nonverbal communication. So when the message you’re giving aligns with who you are, you can go forward and achieve things you never thought possible
— Clinton Kelly (Co-host of TLC's What Not to Wear with Stacy London)

Here’s what one of my lovely clients had to say;

I worked with Kelly, only using pieces she already had in her wardrobe to create some new outfits for her.

Her main goal was to look more 'put together' when dog walking (in case she met a man). She also wanted some more polished outfits for summertime social events.

I helped her understand her body shape and what pieces were the most flattering, as well as what colours made her look amazing. Kelly is an autumn palette, petite with a rectangle/ apple combined body shape. I put together several looks for her from her existing wardrobe. I showed her how to rework an old denim dress she no longer wore into a duster coat suitable for chilly summer evenings post-BBQ, which she loved. I also highlighted some gaps in her wardrobe and suggested some pieces to look at during her next shopping trip.

Michelle showed me how to wear my clothes in ways I hadn’t ever thought of. It was a great experience
